Scholarships for busy students

19/06/2008 1:50:00 PM
MERREDIN Residential College offered two scholarships for students this year to assist with attendance at the college and Merredin Senior High School.

Bradley Palm from Mukinbudin and Kirara Kent from Bodallin each received a credit of $600 which can be used for various amenities fees at the college or school, purchase of college uniforms or other educational expenses.

In addition, each student is offered one free excursion organised by the college.

Applicants needed to prove a sound academic record, an ability to mix with other students and adults and participate in community or school services.

Merredin Residential College manager Gerry McAuliffe said both students were involved in the college and school communities and had shown leadership qualities.
