Double win for darts men

THE Merredin Men’s Dart Association members travelled to Kulin on the weekend for their premier event of the season, the South Central.

Both A and B grade came away from the weekend victorious.

The A grade team, represented by Justin Watts, Rodney Robertson, Michael Adamson, Graham Hills, Darren Postans and Phil Spence, won against Corrigin 9-2, Beverly 7-4, Roe 6-5, Narrogin 7-4 and lost to Narembeen 4-7.

Watts and Robertson were both named All Stars as Robertson also threw a 180.

The highest peg for the A Grade went to Darren Postans with 109.

The B Grade, represented by George Skalko, Dale McKinnon, Brad Alp, Cody Olcorn, Nathan O’Donnell, Bob deWaal and Ryan Jaxon won all their matches.

McKinnon and Skalko were named All Stars for the B Grade.

Last week in the Merredin men’s darts, Rebels 5 defeated Cougars 2 and Sportsmans 4 defeated Club 3.

Highest averages were scored by J Watts with 66.39, G Hills 59.67, M Adamson 57.08, P Spence 54.93, T O’Dea 52.95 and R Robertson 52.15.

Highest pegs were thrown by J Watts 104, M Adamson 73 and G Hills 48.

T O’Dea and R Robertson both threw 180s.
