The men’s winners were P Gerrand and G Nelson on 51 points and runners up were the Muntadgin pair of J Hendricks and J Symes on 49 points.

Ladies winners were W Postans and E Haines with 45 points and runners up were Y Heinrich and K Hunter with 42 points.

Men’s gross winners were, N Tenid and R Gearing with 38 points. Gearing had a great warm up for the club champs by shooting 72 off the stick.

Novelties for the day went to Megga Hunter, R Gearing with an Eagle on 10, S Symes, N Tompkin, D Postans, W Postans and S Morton.

Next week is the first and second rounds of the Club Championships.

Golfers are reminded to get their entries in for the 32nd Merredin Amateur Sands by August 11.

The Sands will be conducted on August 15, 16 and 17 and organisers are expecting large fields to assemble for a part of the $10,000 of trophies which will include gross and nett, gross nett and nett team as well as overall and daily winners.
